what do you gift your garbagemen and mail man for the holidays?

Thats what I was told...I never really took notice to my mom doing these things. She said she does....

We got a note in our mailbox...A christmas post card from our garbage man...and it says happy hoildays from your gm Joe and Tom....and hten it said please dont tape any cards to your pails bc it can blow away.

My friend gives cash....but how much?

We don't get the mailman any gifts (he misdelivers a lot of mail), but DH usually gives the garbage men some $$. We've been doing renovations and cleaning out the house, so we've put a lot of extra garbage this year.

$20 each...we have 2 garbage dudes and $20 to the mailperson (never see them, but I want them to contine to rubberband my mail together)

Also, we have a cleaning person 2x month and we gave $50.

We give $25 to our mailman - he is awesome.

We use to give $20 to our garbage men and $20 to the Recyclable men...but after the year how they have treated us they get nothing....they throw our garbage cans in the middle of the street, driveway. And half the time they won't take stuff because their is a violation. I had three cardboard boxes that i put next to the box and they decided that one time they can't take them because they need to be twined together.....errrrrr. Never had an issue before and personally putting twine on the cardboard does nothing.

After tipping season, our garbage men neatly place the garbage pails neatly back on the curb, until the tip just wears out........

I've been told they appreciate beer the most. We got a note from our 3 saying to please give the tips to them directly because they have been taken in the past. We intended on tipping them, but I thought it was a bit nervey. We'll probably give them $50 between the 3. We did put out a lot of garbage with our renovations and they took it all. I would love if they put the bins back where we put them after our tip

Our mailman is a PITA, so he'll only get $10.

A woman I work with told me that every year she leaves 2 cases of beer for the garbage men. She said they must love it because they put her garbage cans on her driveway instead of throwing them to the curb.

my FFIL is a mailman..he rocks!...anyway my mom usually tips the mailman like $20 or something like that...i don't think she tips the garbagemen..not sure though

we gave our garbage men a case of beer and our mail lady - who actually knows my mom outside being the mail lady - she got a bog box of bath stuff ( basically cause that is what she like LOL)
