My wedding is in just about two weeks and FH and I are a little confused about how much we have to tip that day.
Does anyone know how much we have to tip, etc?
The woman at our hall told us that the maitre'd is supposed to get $5 per head (suggested). Is that right?
Does anyone else get a tip? How much do the bridal attendants get?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

from what i have heard..the maitre 'd gets 3-5 a head which imo i would automatically give him 3 and if he/she is awesome that night add some more
im not sure bout the bridal attendant sorry
also i forgot i think u tip flower delivery,dj,limoand photo people--alot of peeps i know

Between 3 and 5 should be enough for the maitre'd you should also tip the bridal attendant. My hall suggested $1 per person . I had 150 but I thought my attendant deserved so much more cause she was great so I gave her $250- and gave my maitre'd $500 and still regretting giving him that much cause in my eyes all he did was hand me the knife to cut my wedding cake. I would just get and figure u think is appropriate or suggested and adjust it that night if you feel they deserve more or less.

Personally, I think 5 per head is a lot for a tip. And I used to be in service for a very long time, so generally I am sympathetic to giving generous tips, because I've been on the other side.
That being said...I've heard bridal attendants 50-100, and maitre'd 250-500+...we will probably be going more towards the lower end of the range regardless of level of service, because FH tends to have fits about these things, and we just truly and honestly don't have the extra money to give more. If that makes me a bad person...sorry! I just feel that you have to do what you're able to do, not what someone tells you you're SUPPOSED to do.

For Bridal attendents from 50-100.
MD I have heard from 1.5-5. I would probably tip about 2-2.5.

If I did $5/head, my tip would be close to $900 for 180 people!!! Ahh!!!!
So, should I bring $1,000 but plan on giving less?

Our RH required us to pay 450 in advance for maitr'd and bridal attendant tip.
