majestic gardens

I am looking at the website and the room looks nice. I am looking for high cut out ceilings similar to the rooms at JT. The ceilings at maj. look like they may be but i cant tell from the pic. Has anyone been there or have any pics. thanks.

I've been there. The ceilings are very high but I'm not sure what a 'cut out' ceiling is.

It was pretty, just not my taste. The price was ok... I was quoted 135pp for a Sat. night in Sept. 06

Sorry to jump in.

Majestic Gardens is beautiful, cozy, home-y and has the most gorgeous gardens I have ever seen...their 'Secret Garden' was just phenomenal. We chose against it because it was too far for our guests and the gardens would be 'wasted' since we were having an evening wedding.

I have only seen JT out of the places you mentioned and I have to say that there's a big difference between the two. JT is 'flashier' and a lot bigger.

MG is a one wedding at a time place, family owned, intimate...we saw a wedding take place and the bride had all her pictures set up on the fireplace and tables...just beautiful and private. So it's not really comparing apples to apples when comparing to JT. Now, don't get me wrong my experience was great at JT - but a one wedding at a time place has a completely different feel.

The ceilings at MG are not cut out...it's a normal ballroom. Definitely worth a visit. We met with JOhn (the owner) and found him very nice and accomodating...willing to work with our $70pp price range. For a one wedding at a time place, that's a bargain.

Good luck!

I went and loved it!!! It was my second choice. The ceilings were high and I liked the gardens and one wedding at a time. However it was too pricy for my budget and we are having a small wedding...Call and if it is in your budget definately go visit.

My coisin just had his wedding there and it was terrific and the food was great! Service was unlike anything I have ever seen. They had a Saturday daytime weddin and I think they Paid 70 pp for last saturday in April!! It was wonderful!
