My fiance and I are looking into having our wedding at Majestic Gardens.. He is in the army and I am currently living in South Carolina, so it is a little difficult for us to go places and figure out prices but I am really interested in this place and they do not tell you much over the phone.. Also, we have fallen in love with so many places online but when we goto the site, we are not crazy about them at all.. Any other suggestions on where to have it? I know this is our decision but I would love some input, especially given my distance. Thanks ladies!

Hello. This is just my opinion but...I was very interested in Majestic Gardens too until I went to a bridal showcase there and tasted how absolutely terrible their food was!! I was blown away at how a catering hall could have such a low quality of food. And it wasn't just my opinion...I had two others with me that night. I don't know if you've been there in person but it does happen to be pretty but there are a TON of nicer places on LI. I can't remember their pricing off hand but I believe it was somewhere around $100 give or take a bit. I'm sorry if this wasn't a halo but I'd hate to see a bride book a place without knowing only to find out the food stinks.

I have to agree with the food being poor. I attended an event there last month and almost chipped me tooth on one of the passed hor dourves. Food was just not good at all. if you are looking for that garden feel check out fox hollow, flowerfields, swan club,or cresthollow country club has more of a south beach feel but very pretty gardens too. Check around for discounts being that your fh is active military. I read that ariana waterfalls gives $1,000 off for active military (althought i don't know much else about that venue) and there are a few bridal salons that offer MUCH discounted gowns for brides to be of military. hth :)
