major drama at my shower yesterday!

my shower was amazing, and overwhelming!!!!! my registry was completely wiped (all but the dyson animal which i will be getting with all the gift cards...woot woot)

As we were leaving, my FMIL, carrying 2 vases of flowers (centerpieces)...trips over something in the parking lot and falls, landing on and breaking a vase with her face....we hadda call 911...whe was taken to the ER, and other than 3 stitches in her forehead, a swollen knee, cuts and bruises and an ankle brace, she will be ok....thank god! FH and I spent all night over at their house helping. All she was concerned about was that she 'ruined my day'. Shes such a sweet lady and I felt so bad for her.....

i have to say tho that i have never been prouder of my FH....thank god he was there, loading up the car. He ran over to her when she fell and everyone was crowded around panicking not knowing what to do....he swooped in, started barking orders....(get back, move that car, call 911, get me a towel, get ice...) and was so wonderfully calm as he tended to his mom.....I feel so lucky to be marrying him....

I'm so sorry that happened to your FMIL.

I'm glad she is doing ok now, and that FH was there to help take care of everything.

I am so glad she is OK!! That is awful, but it seems that your FH did a wonderful job!! Glad you had a wonderful day despite everything!
