MAJOR, MAJOR CHECKS!!!!!!!
Yesterday FH and I took off.
We got our marriage license (took like 40 minutes total, some of which was figuring out where in the court we needed to go!)![]()
Picked up my veil!![]()
I love it!
Set our menu at the Swan Club! Joseph is our MD and was so pleasant to work with. We're going to have such an awesome vegetarian spread and just thinking about the menu is making me HUNGRY!![]()
He's e-mailing me a full-on description next week so I can make the menus, but some of the stand-outs for us are:
CH - Samosas and a chickpea salad that's a traditional Indian CH food. Butternut squash ravioli, pierogies, hummus & taziki with pita, polenta with mushrooms....mmm. (Plus the usual CH fare...veggies, fruit, cheeses, other hot dishes...)
Appetizer duet - Vegetable strudel with a roasted red pepper sauce (Ilana, order your's without the sauce LOL![]()

Dinner - Eggplant rollatini, stuffed red pepper with mushroom risotto, pasta primavera and a veggie stir-fry with tofu and noodles.
Picked our cake and dessert too, and told Joseph about our need for a nice variety of non-alcoholic drinks for much of FH's family...virgin pina coladas and virgin strawberry dacquaris are probably the plan!!
And finally...we ended the day with our engagement photos!!! It was a perfect day for them. Went to the Garden City Gazebo for the end of season tulips and had a blast!
