Major Mess-long

Major Mess-long

My mom got me in to a MAJOR mess. She made me put one of my male cousins in the wedding (all my other cousins are in it too) so I asked him to be a groomsmen. Then, about 3 months ago, he got into a fight with her and my grandmother and she practically disowned him! She said he is out of the wedding. We asked my siter's boyfriend to be in it instead. A couple of weeks ago my cousin had to have heart surgery. Yesterday my grandma talked to him and asked if he was coming to the wedding. He said 'of course, I am in the wedding party.' So I called my mom and said we have to talk about this because we had several conversations and she SWORE he was out of the wedding. Now she is changing her tune and I don't know what to do! As it is we have 12 guys in it!!! My FH is going to be so annoyed!

I would say let him be in it. Many wedding parties are uneven. And he jsut had surgery, maybe the wedding is something he is looking forward to. I wouldn't un-invite the sister's boyfriend. If he knows the situation already and offers to step down, great, but I would't ask him to.

I would also tell Mom to stop asking people to be in the wedding party j/k

Hope your cousin is feeling better!

I totally understand your sitch... I really think at this point, what's one more groomsman? How many BMs do you have? You can always double up guys or girls when walking down the aisle.. like a guy on each side of one girl..

That may be the easiest thing to do, rather than stressing you and your family out.

Unfortunatley, you can't kick anyone out at this point. I know it stinks, and yes, you do have a large bridal party, but hurting someones feelings just sin't worth it. You're cousin has been sick and he still seems to be looking forward to being a part of your wedding. I assume your sister's boyfriend is now looking forward to it as well. I think you really have no other choice than to just include everyone.

Well for my part I don't really care. But I just don't want my FH to get mad. He said my mom would change her tune, and he was right!

I know you already have a ton of people, but have him be an usher, not a groomsman. He doesn't escort of BM, but he greets & seats guests.

i would just have him in it as well. You can group one girl with two guys....it will make her feel special!!
