Okay, as you girls know I moved to PA with the fiance. I was okay with it and all but now he calls and says we may move to Boston in a month. Now, If i was a bit younger, and we hadnt just gotten engaged i probably would have said 'YAY' But, WHAT THE HOO?
I mean, Our relationship was a set plan. He changed the plan. We made another. He changed it again. Well not him but work. And work pays him good...I understand that. But I cant just stay home and do nothing for the rest of my life. I mean, I cant spend my life moving! My father made me a military brat and I swore I wouldn't do that with my kids!!!
I AM SO MAD. I dont know what to say to him. I said 'Okay baby, let me think about this please' And he said 'I know I can't believe it either' So... I dont know...

Well, you cant really ask him to leave his job, that's something that has to come from him. At the same time if you're not happy moving around, then why not live on your own until after the wedding. I would also consider that if this is his career...then this will ultimately affect you for a long time, even after you're married.

yeah, youre right.. but living on my own isnt an option. Moving around so much i have no job :(

I agree....you have to make sure that in the future he won't he have to keep moving and if so you have to make sure that is what you want for yourself....good luck!!!

Wow..that's a tough one.
Is the moving around going to be a constant thing with his job, or is it just short-term now as he's working up the ladder?
Do you think things might change after you get married? About 11 years ago, my brother-in-law almost got transferred to Colorado and then they wanted to transfer him to New Hampshire. But in the meantime, he's had 4 kids, so now he does do a lot of traveling for his job, but they don't even consider him for transfers anymore. Maybe that will happen in the future?
In any event, I think you definitely need to talk to him and work this out now.

WOW! Crazy! Think of the bright side... Boston might be more exciting than PA... you said you're bored already. Boston is beautiful! I think its one of the only places I would leave NY for if I had to. It stinks that you have to move again but you will love it there! Good luck!

YES I am bored already haha But I may have a job in King of PRussia in Tiffanys Yay I spoke to FH and he said he (since he has two degrees) is thinking of switching and working in his uncles accounting place... they offered him a 6 figure three years ago and he said no. Their not doing as well now so Ill be LUCKY if its about 20...
