So we already booked all of our wedding weekend activities, as you know. Tonight we had dinner w/ my FIL's & FFIL's sister & Her husband. When they asked if we were havinga friday night diner we said no, We're having a 'Welcome Party' in the bowling alley of GCM where all the guest will be staying. Then FFIl's sister (who's children had destination weddings which required us being there there the Thursday before a Sat. wedding) asked when our rehersal would be. I answerd Thurday, which is fine w/ our Bridal Party & venue. It even works out better for the Rehersal Dinner. She responds, that we can't expect people to come up for 3 nights of events (where we only have 2 ootg in the BP my Cousins my Matron of honor & my Man of Honor & they're fine w/ it on thurs.) and our rehersal must be Friday. I explain that , my parents already booked the activities for Friday, the Bridesmaid luncheon, the Softball game & the welcome Party. It's a tight schedule. How can I tell her that it's a done deal w/o being rude & sounding like a Bridezilla?

I don't see where your FFIL's sister has so much say in the matter? I say just don't bring it up, how often do you really see her? Also, this is your FH's family, let him deal with it

tell her to go screw and then after that go tell my mom
no seriously - does everyone realize that 90% of our stress comes from random people who think they have a say in our weddings? What is the deal with that?!
i think you should just explain the deal to her and if she doesnt like it - well too bad, you can't please everyone.

Rehersal dinners on Thursdays are very normal. Its not like a million people need to attend that, plus you are giving your OOT guests plenty of activites on Friday.

I am having my Rehersal Dinner on wenesday. It worked better for mine and my FH schedule. They should have very LITTLE to say. Don't worry about it to much. Try to be accomodating but I wouldnt change your schedule

Matilde, I couldn't agree with you more. I now see why a coworker of mine decided with his now-wife that they would invite only immediate family....they had only 75 guests and a carefree event. So far my stress has come from my family members, some of whom have zero say in any aspect of my life to begin with! I don't get it...
