What do you think your life will look like in 2 years....? (so... June 2009)
My predictions(god willing):
*married (wahoo!) *a teacher *moving out of our apartment in NYC and into a house on LI (hopefully sooner than June 2009 though! ) *another dog??? *NO KIDS! Not yet

yea! you should all move to NC so I'll have friends down there. Oh and also then I can talk to other NYers so I don't gain the southern accent. I don't think this is a selfish request at all
I totally agree!! my brother already threatened that I better not come back with a southern accent
I really want to move to the Carolinas and maybe in the future we will, but my mom is having a hard time with me moving out and moving away and she cries everytime i mention moving to VA, NC or FL.
Aw its so hard to talk to my parents about it as well, but my FIL are moving down soon after us so at least we will have some family down there.. But just tell your mom that this way she has an excuse to take more vacations to come see you guys! that usually puts a little smile on my moms face
WOW and im sitting here having a hard time thinking of moving to massapequa hahahaha guess i need to get over that one

Yea i've tried that... We dont plan on buying anything right away, so maybe after being out of the house for 2 years after we get married, she'll be more open to the idea. FH doesnt care where we go. I keep changing my mind, and he's like i dont care as long as we can afford something nice together. So we'll see

Thats very true, because I think with my parents there just so used to not seeing me except for holidays since I go to school so far, and with work it just can't happen.. So I think once they get used to you both being married and out of the house it will be easier to digest. But goodluck!

Hmmm tough question lets see.
Hopefully married~ If I wait any longer to book some place I might not be lol.
Working towards becoming a licensed CPA.
I want a house on the water with a boat, but that will take longer then 2 years most likely. So realistically probably living in an apt. in NYC, but I would love to move to California!!

my dad wants to retire in north carolina. i dont think my mom will go for it though. but i have thought about moving there as a possibility. either that or pennsylvania since it's still close, i dont think FH wants to move too far from the island/city area. we will see.

Yes, for the amount we're willing to pay we can practically get a mansion in NC compared to the shack we can get if we decide to buy something in LI. I really want to raise a family in a house with a lot of space and a large backyard and if that means I have to move to NC to do it then I am willing! FH also has a lot of family in raleigh
I totally agree with you. I don't want to stay in NY for very long after we are married. Hopefully in two years from now we will be married, thinking of relocating and starting a family.....plus getting a family dog. I am with all of you that want a puppy!
