make - up

I am looking for recommendations for hair and make up for the day of the wedding. I have heard a few names on the boards, and would like opinions / suggestions on who to go to. Thanks

I'm using Jaqueline Nicole for Make-up, many of us are using her, she is wonderful.
I've heard some poeple mention Fairytale Makeovers, as well.

For hair, I still haven't found someone and booked. Right now my main contender is Maximus Salon and Spa (who also do makeup by the way

I was thinking of going there (Maximus). Tommy used to cut my hair, but he always did what he wanted, so I switched. They did a free makeover the first time I went, and I liked it. I'm toying between having someone come to me, or going somewhere. I can't decide

I am using Jillian from Gorgeous Faces and some of the girls that work with her are doing all of our hair. I havent gotten the hair trial yet, but I loved my make-up. She is on LI Weddings also.

I also used Jillian from Gorgeous Faces for make-up. She did me, my MOH, 2 bridesmaids & my mom. We all looked great.

It seems though you can't go wrong with either her or the Gillian lady.. I read only good things about her also

i am using a good friend of mine christine. she runs the clinique counter at macys manhassett. she works privately but you can find her there to have a trial. the trial runs w/purchase but there is no minimum purchase you must make. but there is a great free gift coming up this month when you spend 19.50. good time to go!!

I'm using Jillian from Gorgeous Faces. I had my trial and it was great! My mom loved her too. She works at a salon also and will bring hairstylists if you want. I think I'm doing that.

I'm using a MK women, who does Amazing work!
There is no Charge and she is coming to our mass and cocktail hour to retouch if needed.

She is free, her trials were free. I did buy some products some skin care ones, to get my face in shape.. but I am proud to say no break outs at all with them..

I can tell you NOT to use Pam from Bocu salon...while I liked my trial a lot...I think she was more into chatting than doing the makeup...my blush was AWFUL...In the earlier pictures It looks like a big streak across my face...finally my BM was able to smooth it out...

I wish I knew about Jacqueline Nicole before...she gets awesome reviews...

I used Antonetta for Make-up and Fran for Hair from Maximus Spa & Salon the Source. They did a great job as I stated in my wedding review.

I am using Jennifer from Fairytale Makeovers,she does airbrushing and it is absolutely beautiful. It feels nice going on you don't geth that tight, cakey makeup feeling that feels like you have clown makeup on, it feels like a fine mist as it is going on and your skin.

JN told me airbrush may rub off on my veil
