I'm trying to decide if I should do my own makeup for the wedding or go get it done. We're taking pictures before the ceremony which is at 11:45, i'd still have to get my hair done, i don't know if i'll even have enough time to go somewhere. But then again i don't know if i'll be able to get my hands to stop shaking from being nervous Is anyone thinking of doing there own makeup?

Re: Make up
Im going to have someone come to me and do it in my bridal suite. I suggest you have someone come to you, or ask your hair stylist if they suggest someone and they can perhaps come to the salon where your getting your hair done

Re: Make up
I would get it done. You don't want to have to worry about anything on your big day but to sit back and take it all in. BUt some people prefer to do their own...

Re: Make up
I just don't want to look like a porcelian doll, i've seen some people when they get it done they don't look like themselves, I want to be me, and i feel if someone else does it won't be me b/c its know how i normally do it, plus i don't like to be fussed over or pampered or whatever. idk if this makes sense lol

Re: Make up
If you can afford it I would def recommend having someone come in to do it. You're going to be stressed enough that morning. Just make sure during the trial that the woman knows that you still want to look like you and to not overdue it with the makeup.

Exactly, during your trial, just make sure they do exactly what you want...then you have nothing to worry about on your big day!

I agree with the girls. This is not something you should have to worry about on your wedding day. I understand wanting to look natural so I think you need to just work with someone who will be able to give you the look that you want.

Re: Make up
id get it done! one less thing to worry about.
when i do my makeup it looks good up close and in person, but disappears in pictures. i have a friend whose makeup looks great in pictures but not as good in person.
for my wedding day i want to look good in person AND in pictures.
i just had my trials yesterday and my makeup person is going to be one of my fav vendors. i love her!

Re: Make up
My best friend did her own this past summer and it was great. She went to 3 different makeup artists for trials and hated them all, her pictured came out beautiful. She treated herself to new makeup and did lots of trials on her own.
So-if you love the way you do your own, do it! Just make sure to invest in the good stuff. Smashbox has great stuff called photofinish and it works wonders and keeps your makeup on all day and smooths everything out.
But- if you are nervous and don't like the way you normally do your makeup-have someone come in, you don't want to be emotional and trying to put on mascara!
