make up

Ok so what the deal...When do I need to book make up? How much does it cost? Who's good?

And I don't even have my dress yet so wouldn't my dress help dictate what kind of face I want for the 'big day'??

Popping two advil right now b/c this s**t is giving me a headache!

Re: make up

I am going for my trial with Sandra Baldini the first week in August and will most likely officially book. I say if you are looking to book someone high in demand than I would start to send emails to see if they still have your date available and maybe pencil you in to hold the spot until you have a trial.

I've gotten quotes ranging from $125-$160 for the bride and $75-$100 for the BMs and MOB. My trial is going to be $30 with SB.

Re: make up

Its up to you of who you want to use but a lot of make up artists book up really quick. You can always get a trial if you like it, book them and then go for a 2nd trial after you get your dress. The girl I just went to asked me if I had my dress already & I showed her a pic. She said sometimes certain make ups dont look right with certain gowns and I know what she means.. Like if you have a really elegant lacey type dress, Crazy intense make up might not really match and you may want to go with a softer look. But like I said you can always re do your trial after being booked. I booked, had my trial and might go back for another one right before the wedding just to be sure of the colors I want HTH

you don't need to have your dress to book your makeup. you can always do a trial and try different styles of makeup to see what you would like to go with.
some people book early to make sure they get the artist that they want, but if you would rather wait you can.
