Make-Up Allergies

I've noticed that several girls on here are allergic to different make-ups. I just found out I'm allergic to Thimersol, which is a chemical found in a lot of make-ups. Is anyone else allergic to this checical and if so what make-up are you safe using?

Bare Essentials would definetly be safe to wear.

I use Almay makeup for my eye liner and mascara b/c of allergies.

OUt of curiosity, how can you find out what you are allergic too? My face skin is sooo sensitive and Ive spent $$$ with trial and error with makeup to see what irritates my skin and what doesnt.

I use Almay too!! and I have really bad allergies.

I found out I was allergic to this chemical because my eys kept sewlling up. I went to an allergist and they put two patches on my back that tested for 24 different chemicals. It was definately very helpful.

Also for those of you who use Almay due to allergies, what type of make-up are you going to wear on your Wedding Day. Or are you just staying with Almay since you know your ok with it?
