Make-Up Counter

Make-Up Counter

If I was to get my make-up done at the make-up counter at a mall, which mall would make the most sense - my wedding is at Westhampton Beach. Also, anyone recommended from the make-up counter?

Where is Smithhaven in comparison to Westhampton Beach? Did you already tell her that you wanted a trial for your wedding date? I'm just curious if I should say so right away or not say anything about it...

smithhaven mall is probably the closest mall to west hampton beach. probably a 1/2 away. from a long island expressway perspective it's exit 62. however, it's closer to the north shore. you may want to also look at the mall in bayshore? is it. not overly sure. i've always been a north shore girl

as far as telling her i don't think you have to at all. she asked me at the end to give her a call if i wanted to book her. i thought it was a free trial for anyone that registered at macy's but it must not be because i wasn't questioned once.

also, i went there for the trial but she is coming to my house the day of the wedding.

I know there is a small, stand alone Macy's in the Hamptons right off the Hampton Bays exit off Sunrise Hwy.....It's on the right hand side right before the Hampton Bays Diner and they have a Mac counter there......you may be able to find a make-up artist at that one....

I'm not sure of the malls around there. But I will tell you the woman who did my make-up on the day of my wedding worked at the Lancome counter. I went for a trial w/ her. And she came to my house the day of the wedding.

Saks in Southampton does make overs too. Been there for one and I think I had done MAC....it came out good. It's closer than Smithaven I think. It an option...

mattituckprincess, if you don't mind me asking, how much is she charging to do the makeup the day of?

Re: Make-Up Counter

$0 for the trial, $100 for the day of. she is only doing my makeup no one else. if she was going to do the bridal party the price would go down.

what sold me on it, aside from the trial, is that i use their products and i know how my skin will react to it's products for long durations and different types of weather.
