Make up in general question

Make up in general question

Hey everyone,
i have a question for both soon to be's and already there (yay) brides.
I would love to have my makeup done but i am concerned that i will look all cake faced and whatnot. I will be too nervous to do it myself and want it done professionally but I also want to ensure I will look like myself.

Does anyone have the same worries or have experienced the postives from going to a professional--trials or otherwise?

thanks

Hi, I do not wear alot of makeup normally so I feel your pain. ANy reputable make up artist will not make you look cakey and can do a more natural look, just tell them that's what you want. I also wanted to mention that your makeup has to be a little heavier than normal to show up in pictures. Go for a trial and see how oyu like it, they can always adjust it after the trial for the day of. Good luck

I had my trial with Jillian from Gorgeous Faces and booked her on the spot!

she uses mineral makeup which is good if you have sensitive skin (like me).

I told her that I wanted to look natural and brought a picture with me. she did an unbelievable job!!!!!!!!! It didn't look fake or cakey at ALL! she is amazing. I highly recommend her

Try air-brush makeup.

I had my make-up done for my friend's wedding as sort of a trial. I wanted to see if I looked fake. The woman did an amazing job. It was just enough make-up and the pics came out great. My FH loved it. I would try out soemone before, even if your just going out one night. If you hate, find someone else. The make-up also stays on forever, very little touch -up.

I wouldnt worry about it... i had mine done for a friends wedding.. i never wear makeup except when going OUT... and i NEVER wear lipstick.. they made me wear it and it looked great... I always feel like a clown with lip color, but it looked so good i bought one from her.. she did other things i never do cause i dont like it when i do it but she did an awesome job (bottom lash mascara, and eyeliner)... just enough!

They do makeup to enhance a natural look (unless you ask for other wise)

Just tell your person that at your trial, I hear that airbrush is lighter too...you'll need the coverage for pics so you don't look washed out. FH hates in in professional makeup and I wear makeup on my face and eyes all the time! (not heavy tho)

Just keep doing trials- I hear some girls do their trial and then do their e-pics to see how it looks in prof pics- that 's what I'm going to try to do!

Good luck!
