This might be a silly question, but how long does the make-up usually last on your wedding day?
I wanted to do airbrushing, but for some reason my mother's against it, so I'm going with traditional. I'm hoping my make-up will last for 12+ hours, but any of you brides have any ideas on how to make it last for a long time, or what are some products I should purchase for in between touch-ups? Sorry I know it's a silly question, but I'm challenged when it comes to talking about make-up.

Re: Make-up on the day of your wedding..
i am doing airbrushing, i personally think it last soooooo much longer than regular makeup with no touch ups.
last time i did the airbrush for a party, which started at 6 pm, i had my makeup done at 3 and it lasted beyond the end of the night and we were out til about 4 am
i would talk 2 ur mom abt her concerns and do what is best for you
if you want my makeup artist info fm me, she travels and i think she is very reasonable

Thanks! I think the reason my mom was against airbrushing is because I know we're going to tear up A LOT. she was told by a make-up artist that if you have on airbrushed make-up the tears rolling down your cheek will leave the tear streaks on your face.
Someone, please tell me that's not true.

honestly---your mom is wrong.
the entire point of airbrush make up is that is very sweat & tear proof. it stays on alllllll day long. i did it for my own wedding as well as my friends wedding. and i LOVED it--it was so light and airy and i didn't feel like it was caked on.
here is some examples:
make up was done at about 11 am or so---this before the ceremony:
(bride used airbrush also)
DH and i in bridal suite before reception:
about 1/2 thru the reception--we were dancing and sweating most of the nite!
This is around 10 or so at nite---11 hours later!
the foundation lasts amazing all day!

From what I've been told, reg makeup streaks with tears and airbrush stays perfect. I did airbrush for my wedding and it stayed perfect all night- I highly recommend it!

Re: Make-up on the day of your wedding..
I did not do airbrushing and I used Sabrina from Sabrina & Carolyn of Hair Expo (also a LIW vendor)
Just to give you an idea I had my makeup done at about 7:30am the morning of my wedding... all I had to do was reapply lipstick, gloss and some pressed powder to take away the shine from the sweat that was pouring off me.. Other than that it lasted all day until about 6pm and I could have worn it longer if I needed to.
Anyhow I purchased the liner, gloss, lipstick, powder and blush off Sabrina- love the colors and I can use it again when I go out so it was worth it.

Airbrushing definitely stays longer then regular makeup, I sweat like no other the day of my wedding from the moment I left the house until my reception was over and it stayed put. I had people kissing me, hugging me and it didnt smear or come off.

Re: Make-up on the day of your wedding..
i had my makeup trial at 3, went out at 10pm that night and my makeup was still perfect, slept in it (it looked so good and i wanted to see how long it would last) and it started wearing off by the next afternoon, and my false eyelashes started falling off the following night.
it definitely lasts if they are using the right makeup!
my makeup artist uses special makeup that is supposed to be super waterproof, and when i put my contacts in the next AM i dripped contact solution down my face and it just balled up. I think the makeup has silicone in it

Re: Make-up on the day of your wedding..
I'm def considering airbrushing, I dont want to touch up my makeup all day and I am always touching or rubbing my eyes....I think it's a habit I have and I always end up with my mascara all over the place by the end of the day
