Hey everyone... I'm really torn over whether or not to get my make-up done professionally. A couple of times I've had it done for me, i don't like how its done... I should probably see more people, but i can't stand the idea of shelling out $50 just to see if people can do my make up.
I'm thinking about goin to a make up counter (probably clinique) to work with someone about colors, to make sure i complement, and then just do it myself.
So please take the poll, and let me see where everyone else stands.

I wear bare minerals make-up everyday and it's very natural but for my wedding and the photos... I believe I need some 'professional' help.

I think instead of paying $50 for a trial, you should definitely head over to the counters for a trial. My best recommendation is Bobbi Brown. I use to do makeup for weddings and I can tell you Clinique is great for everyday, but definitely not for a wedding. It is not pigmented enough, so the color will not last as well as something like Bobbi Brown or even Stila. Clinique, Stila and Bobbi Brown are all owned by Estee Lauder. It's like Old Navy and the Gap, it's just different levels of quality. Also, a professional knows about lighting and flashes. They know how to shade your face and make your face perfect for a camera.

same w/ me i use BE all the time but for my wedding i need a lil more!! im using JN for my make up.....i just went to a trial w her for airbrush love love it!!

i am gettingmine done...by a bare escentuals girl.....so the 'trial' was actually free....i just went in one day and had them make me over....i like a more natural everyday look anyhow....so for the wedding she's just going to jazz it up some
i didn't like the idea of paying for the trial either.

me too...
i wear bare minerals everyday...its so natural and flawless..i love it..however i want a profession to do my make up...esp my eyes since i really dont know how to do them...if you have the extra cash...i say go for it
you can try going to the make up counter girls and ask them if they freelance..most of them do and u may be able to get it cheaper...or go to your local salon....its cheaper to get it done at the salon then having someone come to you
