Make up trial... HATED IT

so i met today to get my make-up done.

background, i wear no make up so wanted a natural look so i still looked like myself. Well first off he gave me DARK maroon lipstick (ewww) and my eyes looked so dark and smeary. It looked like i tried to wipe it off.

now, less then 2 hours later when ive done no dancing, no crying, no nothing, its so worn off!

I cant stand it

i had him change the lipstick, which he did no problem, but now, i look in the mirror and im rockin the 1997 style of just lip liner since the lipstick / gloss is gone

the eyes are like grey... grey and black are not natural colors...

what a waste

its just a bad trial. m/u is hard to get right, esp for ppl that usually never wear anything.

dont get discouraged just start looking for someone better.

I would tho love to see a pic of that hot mess hehe
did u break his brushes after what he done to u?

sorry, i meant to start... did you tell him that you didnt wear makeup regularly and dont want your wedding day to be too drastic?

oh no! don't feel bad, I had a bad one last week, I didn't even bother to talk about it on here..She made me look like I should be dancing on a pole, not getting married! ( no offense to any e-dancers) After I went 'Bridezilla' on her, I just booked another trial for next week.

I went to a trial recently with a vendor that was mentioned on this thread. She was great, very professional and used appropriate colors for my skin tone (olive skin). She ended up changing the shape of my eyes though which wasn't what I wanted.

I went to another trial where the chick made me look like a drag queen - too much eye makeup and dark eyeshadows. I had aonther trial recently where she made me look absolutely amazing, she used INDIVIDUAL fake lashes (as opposed to just clumping them on my eye) and also did my hair that came out perfect... I ended up booking with her on the spot.

Keep on going to make up trials until you find someone you like. you should never book the first make up trial, just like you would not buy the first house your real estate broker takes you to.

I second Stacy. She's great at what she does and she makes sure you're comfortable the entire time.

I had a horrible trial experience with a vendor on here too. It gets discouraging and is a lot of money to keep going trials.

09er crashing!!! I had like 6 trials before i found the one i loved. I totally agree with those girls who have all mentioned to keep having trials til you find the one you love! FM me for some names of some good ones GL! HTH

Yikes - sorry to hear you hated your trial.

I went on my hair & makeup trial last week and it was awesome! She spent almost 4 hours with me. The makeup lasted all night. My curls/waves lasted even till the next evening. If you want info FM me.
