I didn't want to post until I was sure I wanted to book the makeup artist. I did and it is Denise from Angel Eyes! She did a terrific job. I like the colors she used for my eyes, which are purples. I have hazel colored eyes and the purple makes them stand out. I'm not wild about the lipstick, which is funny becasue it's my own shade, but she put a darker shade on under my own (which is Almost Lipstick in Black honey) and I think it's a bit too dark, now that I have seen the pictures. I hope Denise will not mind that I would like to use a lighter color. The 2nd picture I am wearing another lipstick color which I think would also go well with the eye shadow.
Excuse my hair in the first pic, I wanted to blow out my hair before I saw Denise and my hair dryer BROKE and I ended up putting it in a pony tail. You can see my graying temples! LOL (ps I love my hair in the 2nd pic. I can't wait until I can get layers in my hair again. After the wedding)

Is it my monitor, but from my end your face looks red/darker and your neck looks pale. Make sure that you point out to her to blend your neck area in to your makeup.

thank you 1017bride. my hair in 2nd pic was from last year when i had layers. it was in n. carolina and the water is different there and i had good hair days! lol but now it's 1 length and will do updo for wedding. getting it cut as soon as i can afterwards. it's too limp as 1 length - it's thick and lies flat.

I agree. I think your eyes and lips look nice, but the foundation or skin color looks red in comparison to your neck. Please don't be offended...I call it like I see it and if it was me, i would rather someone tell me the honest truth. Could just be the camera , though

yes, i know i have a ruddy complexion. i have roseacea on my cheeks and also in the beginning of 2002, long story short i got a very very bad bout of acne along my jawline. i had to use Rx meds to get rid of it. After a year it went away. It was really bad. But it left alot of redness - red spots/scars. So I asked Denise to cover it a bit more. She did.
Also you can't see the difference that much when she took the pictures downstairs - so maybe it's the lighting. But that is probably why you see a difference in my face and neck. It's normally a shade off even with no makeup. I bought a home microdermabrasion kit and I am going to see if that helps before the wedding.
