question- i know girls have talked about getting makeup done at a clinique or mac counter- do you just go or do you make an appt? and what is the cost?
i want to get my makeup done for our eparty which is approaching so quickly it is scaring me- and i don't want to do a trial yet.

Re: makeup
I would just go by there at the mall or something and check it out. I am pretty sure most will do it for free (but they may want you to purchase a product or two)
I went to the bridal event at Michael C. Fina and received a certificate for a free makeup trial from Clinique, but if you go to the counter and inquire, I am sure they will do something for you.

I did my makeup at the MAC counter...you need to make an appointment and there is no set cost, you just need to buy like two or three products from their line....My girl did a great job on my makeup though!!!

Re: makeup
i had a bad experience with getting makeup done at a make up counter the girl who did my make up put on way too much. I am a person that doesn't really wear that much make up just eyeliner mascara and lipstick. I told her this she wound up putting dark shadow on and blush that made my cheeks look like my grandmother pinched my cheeks for hours. I know not all make up counters are like this. This was done at Macys in Manhattan at the estee lauder counter. I was so mortified when I walked out of there

Re: makeup
I highly recommend going to the Laura Mercier make-up counter at Bloomingdales. Michele is the manager there and she does incredible make-up!
