Re: Makeup and hair

For hair - i am having my trial this weekend with my mom's hair girl...after the trial - i will let you know how it goes & see how much she charges.

For makeup - if you have a mary kay lady - see if she can do it. Mine is charging me VERY little & she knows all about my skin before we have the wedding day. If you want - fm me your email & I will send it to her. She's in NJ - but can refer you to someone local for you!!!

You can try calling local salons, they're usually a little cheaper than the girls who come to your house.

Why don't you just use a local salon for hair? I am doing that it is only costing $50 for an updo. For makeup I can only say maybe try to find someone that you can get at the salon to help with the costs.

i would def. keep looking. I'm sure you can find a better deal. I know for my girlfriends wedding we went to the salon..and our hair was $50 and our make up was $65... and i don't think they charged the bride too much more... i think you can def. find a cheaper deal!!! good luck hun..

I think if you go to someoen who doesnt 'specialize' in weddings you'll get a better deal. What about going to the mall at a department store or something?

Thats Rediculious. Makup should cost $100 per person. I would shop around and find a few independent makup consultants and check them out.
I would never pay $100, no matter how good they are. I want to look like me on my wedding and it just doest take that much money too look like me.

before my mom moved she worked for estee lauder and she did a few brides......try out department stores - they give make overs - if you like their work you can ask them to come to your house (my mom has done that for a few brides) or if they are scheduled to work the day of your wedding you can go into the store and have it done.....if you do it at the store i think you're supposed to purchase some of the make up that they used - which could be expensive BUT at least you'll have products that you like.....good luck!
