Ok - I'm a pain in the neck when it comes to makeup. I never leave the house without it and am fairly adept at doing it myself. I went to one trial and honestly - it was so horrible. The eye shadow and lipliner were very sloppy and the colors were not flattering for me at all.
Also - I need someone who can work with slightly problematic skin. Airbrushing clearly isn't going to work for me.
My question is - does anyone know of a makeup artist that has professional training? Most of the people I contact say they have done weddings for a while and that is their training (or they take an afternoon class on technique). I don't think that qualifies them as real experts. I'm looking for someone who has professional training - even if I have to pay more.

My FH's godmother works for Chanel and is a professional makeup artist. She's done my makeup and is wonderful. I plan on using her for my wedding. FM me if you'd like her contact info.

I am using Denise from Angel Eyes. She told me she used to do make-up for tv shows ( I dont' remember which ones). I'm sure she will answer any questions you have about her experience.

This is a person I have met several times. He has done headshots and makeup for alot of my friends. He is amazing. I know that he is not inexpensive, but if it is important to you then he is worth every penny.Devon Cass

I'm almost positive Jacqueline Nicole has had professional training; I know she worked in the city at Elizabeth Arden for a while, I think she even did photo shoots with models, etc.

i agree with what Kathy said....i too am using Jacqueline Nicole and I love her....she is awesome. i went to some other trials and just was not impressed with them....it looked as if i just threw makeup on....not 'bride-like' at all. anyway, JN is awesome.
