Re: MakeUp Artists with FREE TRIALS?
Do what FMIL and I did last weekend... Go to the mall, go to MAC and tell them you have an 'event' to attend... Act very interested, get them to put some makeup on you. That's what we did so we got a free idea of how the girl will do the makeup... we tried two different MAC counters... Bloomies and Nordstrom.... Then on the day of the wedding you go to MAC and you buy fifty dollars of products and they do your makeup no charge... that way you never have to worry about someone screwing up when they are supposed to come to your house... and you get to buy the makeup that is being put on you so you can touch up if you need to. We call this 'working the counter'

Kinda funny.....notice she's getting married 11/28/06---it's a Tuesday!!
I knew Thursdays were becoming the new 'hip' day to get married, but apparently Tuesday is getting to be pretty popular also!!

I researched all her posts-SHE IS A WEDDING PLANNER of some sort- she's talking about DOC, this makeup artist and archways, she seems to have 'great recommendations' for everything....

She has the same name on theknot.com and referred the same person to me when I had a post on there...she actually did get back to me when I emailed her.

Re: MakeUp Artists with FREE TRIALS?
Usually the free trials mean more expensive on the day of. At least that is what I have seen.
I dont know if this helps but when I registered at Fortunoff I got a coupon for a free trial at the Maximus Spa in the Source Mall.

Re: MakeUp Artists with FREE TRIALS?
I am very sorry for referring anyone, I am shopper, and I do my researched, and people have referred people to me and I have try them out and saw that they were good, sorry for trying to be help ful...
NO, I am not a planner, or a make up artist or anything of that sort, I am actually a nurse if you must know...
I apoglize for helping and if I often anyone.. I apolgize again, I will never refer anyone to anyone again..
Yes, my wedding is on a Tuesday because it is cheaper, and being that it is Thankgiving weekend alot of families are usally with their relatives.. I am having a very close intimate wedding, if you like to know my location, I would gladly refer that to you also..
Planning a wedding is already stress ful I don't think a person needs additional stress..
Thanks

A few girls I know used a woman named Adrianne Stuart and were very happy with her, she works for Bobbi Brown in a Westchester Mall. If you go to her, the trial is free. The number at the counter is : 917-723-7700 X244

Re: MakeUp Artists with FREE TRIALS?
I just had a free trial with Theresa Wittman. I don't have her card on me right now, FM me and I'll get back to you with her contact info.
She's a consultant with Mary Kay. I'll also send you my pics if you're interested in seeing her work.
Also, $50 for bride day-of or $40 if having more than one person done. And kids are free. She's located in Deer Park and comes to you for day-of.

Re: MakeUp Artists with FREE TRIALS?
My photographer referred the makeup artist to me. She worked with her all the time. She worked at the Estee Lauder counter in Macys so we talked and she said to come down one evening and she would do a full trial for free. She did a great job and went home to DH (FH at the time) and he loved it. Usually he likes how I do my makeup. I hired her the next day. Sorry, I don't have her info, but I'm sure you can do that with any professional makeup person, but I have had some 'makeovers' that were horrible so you may have to try a few.
