I have a few 'Bridesmaid' iron-ons that I want to use but not on a t-shirt.. I was thinking of maybe doing it on a makeup bag or tote bag for the girls to use. What material do u think would be best? Does anyone have any recommendation?

T-shirt material would probably work best. Otherwise I've used iron-ons on denim before and they stick just ok. I'd reinforce it with fabric glue if you decide to go that route.
Honestly, the best way to get things to 'stick' is to have them embroidered, but that's expensive.
The thinner the material the more likelihood it'll stick when you iron-on. I made tank tops with my bridesmaid, MOH, and bride iron-ons and they came out great.
