makeup help!

How far in advance did you book your makeup person and how much is an average person for makeup to come to the house?

I think it depends on your date whether the person is booked already or not. It seems like a lot of the good makeup people get booked quickly so I'd arrange it as soon as possible.

I found it much more difficult since I am getting married on a holiday and a lot of people take vacations that weekend.

I had a few recommendations but they were all already booked or going on vacation. Then I had a trial with Jillian from GF about a month ago and she did such a great job at the trial that I booked her immediatly. She is coming to my hotel at 6 AM. She charges $100 for bride, $65 for moms, $50 for everyone else. I have found that those rates are really good for someone to come to your home/hotel! She did a great job at my trial so I booked her immediatly!

So- my advice to you is to do this as soon as you can to make sure that you get the person that you want.

I'm getting married in September and I am so excited! Laura from Estee Lauder (In Manhasset) 516-869-9100 (at Estee) and 516-286-0026 (home). She just did my make up tonight and I loved it!!

$55.00 for the trial, $55.00 if you come to Estee or $75.00 if she comes to your home.

I'm so picky and she was awesome - not pushy at all. Totally listened to me.

I booked JN in June for my 4/04 wedding. I agree, the popular people book quick, so the sooner, the better!
ETA: Prices vary from $50 to $200. Average I saw was $100.
