Makeup Muse!

So as I was flipping through the Star today I found a picture of Catherine Zeta Jones in the 'Holiday Beauty Trends' section, and I think I found my inspiration for my day of look!

Unfortunately I couldn't find the exact pic online because their website doesn't replicate the magazine, but I found other pics from the same event, not as vibrant a quality though.

Do you think I would be able to pull off a more dramatic look like this given my coloring and the time of year? Be honest!

Hmm to be completely honest I think the lipstick might be a bit much...maybe if you took that sort of look but toned it down a bit?

if you're like me and completely lose a tan and become white as a ghost during the winter, i think a dramatic look wouldnt look that good... unless you tan a bit before, then i think it would be fine...

The lipstick and eye lashes are a little much for my taste...but im really conservative!!

i think it depends on how much makeup you usually wear. i never wear lipstick so i feel like any color on my lips looks weird. If you're use to the dark lip, i say go for it. it's a great look!

Yeah, the eyes are pretty close to what I'm going for...just rich browns and a crystally taupe shimmer. The lips are probably too dark for my complexion, I was going to ask for more of a apple cider or cinnamon color like these:

I have another (real) trial next week, so I'm debating if I should 'waste' it on trying to do this look or not.

its pretty I just think that with drama its either the eyes or the lips. Both is too much. I agree with toning down the lipstick

That makeup is gorgeous.
I would just be weary of wearing red lipstick on your wedding day...Alot of the time I advise brides against it...BECAUSE
1) red lipstick is VERY high maintenance
2) chances are your groom doesn't want to get stained after he kisses you
3) there's always the possibility of you getting the red lipstick on your dress-wether you drop it on the gown, or theres a bit on your finger ,and it brushes onto it (I know of a bride who wore red lipstick and her dress was RUINED b/c she had the lipstick on already and puled the dress over her head and.....guess what happened.)
4) Red (or any darker or bright) lipstick minimizes the lips..

*A good bride-y red to check out is called 'Brick-O-La' by MAC. Its red without being red-if that makes sense. If you want FM me and I'll give you more color recommendations.
