How far in advance should I be doing my maekup trials and booking someone ??

It is all up to you. I went for my trail and booked Denise from Angel Eyes last July for my Sept 2004 wedding.
A lot of the people I've spoken with say they won't take 2005 yet but then I see those same people have booked other brides! I say call and see what they tell you.

A few of us November brides are having a lot of trouble - the popular vendors are already booked!

I called up one person a year in advance, and she was booked already. Sooo, my advice is try to do that less than a year before wedding.
I had my trial in January for my October wedding, but made my appointment in September! I didn't think I had to think about make-up so far in advance until I came on here and I'm glad that I did! I booked Jaqueline Nicole and I totally see why she books so early and quickly!

I would start booking it now. Or you still have one month or so to book it.
What I've learned in my year plus on this site is that if you want a makeup or hair person who's recommended on here, GO EARLY!!! I was lucky to get my makeup trials without much difficulty but I have had a lot of trouble with hair trials and I was making calls in January for my June wedding.
I used Jillian from Gorgeous Faces. I think I booked her Oct 2002 for Sept 2003. Just call and ask and if the person you want is booking already then get a trial. Its frustrating having to book everything so early, but I'd rather do that than not get the vendors I wanted.
