Makeup question..

I am lucky enough to (hopefully) be getting the makeup artist for the play Mama Mia to do my wedding day makeup (he works with my hairstylist).

But, when asked about my budget I didn't have an answer because I didn't know if I am supposed to pay for my girls or not. Please advise.

From previous posts, I have gathered that some people pay for their entire bridal party and some people don't. I guess if you trust your girls not to look like hoochies they can do their own makeup. OR you can tell them about the makeup artist and how much it costs. OR you can pay for the makeup artist as a gift to them. So when it comes down to it...its a personal decision.

As for makeup they have the choice to do it themselves or pay the person to have it done

For me, if i force them to get something done them i am paying for it, otherwise if they want to do it they pay - just my opinion

You are not expected to pay for makeup unless you insist they get it done by your person.

I was going to offer to pay, because I only have 2 girls, but my mom did instead, but my bms didn't want to have it done anyway, so that's fine by me. I know make up can be a very personal thing.

You're not expected to. I am paying for makeup and hair for my girls because I have one MOH and one BM so I'm not going to be spending millions of dollars on 8 BMs...it's your decision. Find out how much it is first.

If I do decide to pay for the makeup (not hair) for my bridal party, how much do you think is a reasonable amount?

1 Bride (me-yay!)
1 MOH
1 BM
1 Jr BM
