Ive starting to hunt for some makeup photos for the day of ... but how do I know which is a better look? Smokey or Natural?
I have no idea! Help! Can anyone point me to some good photos or let me know how you decided?
My MUA told me not to worry about colors but I have no idea what sort of look I am going for or how to decide!

it depends on your style and your skin/hair/eye color
I am doing smokey because I want a more formal evening look, as we are going to do night wedding but I also have dark hair and green eyes and olive complexion.
I dont think the smokey goes well with lighter tones and fairer skins because its such a contrast.

good luck! personally.....i would go natural because I want to look like myself, but just with a little 'umph' LOL but then again i havent done any makeup trials....so its just my opinion.

I think the overall makeup style also relies somewhat on your dress! Like if you have a super traditional gown or a more contemporary shape like a mermaid or trumpet. Not that this is a HUGE factor to consider but its something to think about...

ITA. But if you haven't had a trial yet, why not contact your MUA and see if you can do two looks- one more natural and one a little more dramatic. HTH!
ETA: My make-up was smokey, not TOO dramatic but hardly natural either. And I wore a very traditional lace, a-line gown.
Edited again to add: When I did my TTD shoot, that's when I let my MUA have free reign- I told her I want DRAMA. And she delivered!
