This! Kim Castro is awesome--and she does hair too!
I'm using Jacqueline Nicole for my makeup. My trial was free and my day-of makeup will be too (thank you LIW contests!), but I'm also using Jackie for my MOH, mom and grandma's makeup. Her airbrush is $100pp but I felt like it was well worth it for my ladies to look beautiful and feel confident. And I believe Jackie does winter specials where if you have 4 people, the bride is free. Kim is going to do all our hair, so she will have her hands full! Lol.

Oksana is the only MU artist I have heard of with minimums. But I found another MU artist who I liked and she has a flat (higher) rate when it's the bride only and no other people getting their MU done (wahhh).

i have a trial with gina from glam me up and she also has minimums (but it's 3 people in total, not 4) ... GAH

My trial and day of total is $350 for airbrush with Christina Amador. I loved how I looked after my trial and she made me feel super comfortable and relaxed which is important to me for the day of.
this! I wanted someone who was really good with airbrush, as I have seen some TERRIBLE jobs done. My sister has been in two bridal parties where they all looked awful by the end of the night in the professional pics. The bride from one of the weddings had such a shiny looking face in the photos because the airbrush wasn't done correctly. I've also seen alot of makeup jobs done where it looks too caked on and unnatural...my FSIL refers to it as 'dead people makeup' lol and insisted that I please book someone who doesn't do that haha
$350 total is worth it to me to have perfect makeup.

omg i know exactly what you mean! i call it ghost face! its when the makeup artist uses a foundation with SPF. SPF and photo flashes don't go well together and it creates this white cast .. bleh hate it!

I used Makeup by LO and she was amazing! I booked her when she had a package out and it was $35 for the trial but if you booked her that day she waived the $35 and you were required to give her a $50 deposit that went towards your day of. It was $135 total for airbrush and lashes. It lasted ALL day and DH even smushed cake in my face and it didnt smudge at all even after wiping the cake off!!

I am paying 350 for myself alone.... As a professional makeup artist myself, I think its kinda gross that I'm agreeing to that much money, but I am crazzzzzzy picky bc I am an artist and wanted to feel confident in my choice, which I do! I just know that I don't charge that much for brides and I can't believe some people do lol Needless to say, I'm still paying for it! hahahahaha
I am the same I am paying pretty much the same as you as well. I would never charge a bride that much it killed me to do it but I know I wouldn't be happy with the other people's work that I did trials with.
