I have a trial tomorrow which is free. One of my BMs is coming with me and she's expressed some interest in having her makeup done as well. This is my first trial, so I'm not too familiar with the etiquette of the situation. So, 2 questions:
1) Would it be appropriate for me to call the artist and find out if my BM could have her makeup done as well? Or is the trial really only for the bride?
2) Also, for a free trial, should I tip the artist (she's the owner as well)? If so, how much?

Re: Makeup Trial
I would call her first - just out of courtesy - to make sure its okay. I did tip for my free make-up trial - I think I gave her like $10.

Re: Makeup Trial
My make up trial was free, I brought my MOH, I called to ask if she could have hers done, it was $20 for a trail for the BM's and it had to be by appointment, she had no time during the day I had mine scheduled...I gave a $15 tip to her as well..

Re: Makeup Trial
Maureen Pedalla is the one offering the free trial. She's been highly recommended to me by a lot of people. I'll post pics tomorrow when I get back

Re: Makeup Trial
She refused to take my tip. I love free trials. I'd rather they charge more for the day of if their trial is free because I hate spending money on a trial where I don't like the makeup.

Re: Makeup Trial
I am using Maureen too. Personally, I would just get yourself a trial the first time because your BM wouldnt use her unless you decided to anyway. She did not accept my tip but only offered bc it was free. My mother did not tip for her trial because she was charged.
