So I had a makeup trial at Bare Escentuals today with a woman my mom recommended (the MUA freelances in addition to working at the store). I really like Bare Minerals makeup on a day-to-day basis but i'm having doubts about wearing it on my wedding day. It's been about 5 hours since the make-up was applied and I don't even really look like I have makeup on!!! Maybe she just didn't apply enough--I don't know....thinking of looking elsewhere and maybe even going for airbrushing?
decisions, decisions

Re: Makeup Trial
I used to wear that at work for a 12 hour ER shift and it totally was gone about 3 hours in lol.
Plus after about a month....it broke out like crazy!

Re: Makeup Trial
Had a trial with airbrushing. It was AMAZING. Just put pictures in my album. It lasted ALLLLL day. Never looked cakey and even kept me from looking too oily.

Re: Makeup Trial
I wear Bare Essentials also, but I wouldn't wear it o my wedding day. It just won't last or cover like liquid foundation or air brushing. I'm going with air brushing for my day.

Re: Makeup Trial
I had an air-brush trial and found it to look very flat on me. I liked my traditional trial much better- and it lasted all day. I went to lisabarimakeupstudio.com She is a vendor on here. I have bare essentials foundation I use for everyday, but I wouldnt want it for my wedding day. I find it doesnt stay.

I use bare escentuals everyday and love it, but I agree I wouldn't use it for my wedding. It doesn't have the lasting power you need.
I've never done airbrush make-up, but the two MUAs I've worked with both have said they prefer traditional because 'it looks more like real skin.' Also, airbrush doesn't work well on dry skin- just something to consider.
I worked with Sandra Baldini and Stacy Doolan of About Face Artistry and both did an amazing job!!!
