Makeup Trial tonight

Makeup Trial tonight

I dont know how many of you have seen my previous posts about my makeup artist cancelling on me because he went on tour with Madonna but anyway he recommended a friend of his who I finally contacted and will be going into the city tonight to do a trial. I am really sick over the fact of spending $150 to get my makeup done for no reason and to just come home and take it off. I think they should deduct part of it from the makeup the day of if you book with them but thats just my opinion.

Anyway, my question is how much do you tip for a trial? or do you only tip the day of?

I hope it goes good and if so I will post pics.

some will take a portion from the trial and put it towards the day of, but either way $150 is OUTRAGEOUS for a trial
only! Mine was $75 and double for the day of! Maybe you should look around a little more...i don't want you getting ripped off!!!

oh and i tipped her 20

It is that much because he works out of some high end salon in midtown where all the celebrities go. He is giving me a really great price for the day of, actually cheaper then the trial because of the situation. The one good thing my previous makeup artist did was negotiate the price for me since this guy is his friend but it still *****

I guess I will see how I feel after the trial and then decide. I dont want to seem cheap but at the same time $150 to spend on a trial is a bit much.

He is reputable, he works out of the salon so if he doesnt show it looks bad for them. I know he does do some freelance as well but if you book with him he will be there.
