I dont know what to do. I have had a few makeup trials and still nothing. FH says that its because I am not used to wearing makeup. I don't know what to do. It looks good for a moment but once I get home and look in the mirror, its kinda scary to me.

Re: makeup trial
Who have you had trials with already?
I am used to wearing light makeup (meaning no foundation, only powder when I go out). Well, I just had my trial with Mia of BridalLounge and she used airbrush foundation on me and it was like I was wearing NOTHING at all, but my face looked flawless.
I don't know if she's booked for your date already since it's not so far away, but it's worth your time to contact her to see. www. bridallounge com (take out spaces).
To give you an idea of the foundation (if you want less blush and shadow, just let her know... she accomodates the look YOU want. I asked for smoky/a little dramatic eyes and that's what I got).
Also remember that with flash and everything, you need to wear more color than you normally would so that your pictures don't make you look washed out. HTH!

Re: makeup trial
I felt the same way...3 trials to finally get it right. Go to the appts with pictures of yourself of what you usually wear. Or find some photos in a magazine that's very comparable to your complexion, eye color and maybe that'll help.

I have had the same problem and it is because I don't wear much make up. To others it wasn't much but to me I didn't look right. But it takes time to adjust - I guess - considering I don;t have a make up artist yet

Re: makeup trial
I had the same reaction when I got my makeup trial..my friend kept telling me it was beautiful, and it was, but it DID take alot of getting used to wearing so much makeup since I never do. The artist told me it would take some getting used to but it was weird at first. The makeup has to be more than usual for pics. The thing that sealed the deal for me was when we went to show my mom..she's a pretty conservative person and she LOVED it!!

Re: makeup trial
are u telling the artists that you dont wear makeup and would like to keep it more natural than dramatic? definatly start asking them to do something natural but enough to enhance your features.
i hope u find someone soon

Re: makeup trial

Re: makeup trial
you might think it's alot, but in order for it to show up in pictures and for it to stay on all day, it has to be applied heavier than normal.

Awww, seriously don't feel like that!!! Post one from each trial so we can see how it looked. It's very important for YOU to like how you look that day, but sometimes it helps to get others' opinions too!

Re: makeup trial
My sister never wears makeup and she didn't want to for her wedding but was kind of talked into it. The woman who did it gave her such a light natural look. I have her info at home. FM me is you want details and I'll send it to you.

Re: makeup trial
It might be the type of makeup they're using. My makeup artist used mineral foundation, which is a powder. It's so light and natural. In fact, I bought the makeup from her and have been getting compliments from people ever since. I have trial pics in my album. If you want her info, FM me. I watched her do a bunch of people's makeup and she continually asked what coloors they used, what they liked and were into, so she's very in tune and I saw her do some very natural faces with minimal makeup and they looked amazing.

Ooh, I really like the first picture! I LOVE the eye makeup because you can see it but it's not too much. I would probably put a little bit more color on your lips so that the lip liner isn't visible. But it looks GREAT! Who did that one?
The second one is very pretty too, but I think that it might be too much color for you since you don't feel comfortable with so much makeup. I think it looks great, but if you don't like the look, then the first one is very nice!

Re: makeup trial update w/ pics
My best friend never wears makeup (almost despises it) however, for her wedding she used Jacqueline Nicole. She did a wonderful job and now I am using her.

Tiral one suits you best I think it loos the most natural! I think you look gorgeous either way and honestly we are all going to feel alittle too made up for our wedding day...its necessary for our pictures and the video so we don't look all washed out!
I hope you can decide soon but my pick is trial #1!

Re: makeup trial update w/ pics
i think they DO look very natural...you forget...wearing no makeup, then putting on some makeup will be a big difference. However, you should stand out a little as the bride, so your makeup will be more than you normally wear.
I think both pics look fantastic!

Re: makeup trial update w/ pics
I think the first trial looks very nice! It's a great look and doesn't appear heavy or overdone. I agree with whoever said the second one seems heavier on you.
You are beautiful...it's probably just not being used to wearing makeup!
