Ok so I have been on 5 makeup trials so far and I am just not happy. Am I expecting too much?!?! There is always something I really dont like. For example, one mu artist made me really greasy. Another used really fake looking eyelashes. Another went too crazy with the eyeshadow. I am spending a fortune on trials. I wish that I could just go on a trial and lovveeee it. I am gonna try Christy Ann Cosmetics but that may be my last trial unless someone else has an idea for me. AHHHHHHHHH

I can imagine how much that sucks, but I think if you settle for just anyone because you are frustrated you will worry from now until your wedding. Maybe explain at your next trial why you haven't been happy and see if this artist can address those issues. But if she can't, better to keep looking as annoying as it may be.

don't worry you will find what you are looking for! i agree makeup is so personal that you really need to explain what you are looking for; my mom does makeup and she always tells me to show her a pic of what i want and it always helps her replicate it - maybe cut some pics out and bring them along!?

I did my makeup trial with Kelly from Glam Me Up. I said I wanted a smoky eye, but when she put it on it looked horrible. I told her and she wiped my face and started over. My first trial with her was almost 2 hours, but she worked with me to erase everything I didn't like and kept fixing it. You should try a trial with her! She was amazing to work with and probably would have continued my trial for 5 hours if I still wasn't happy at the end!

Not sure what your budget is but have you tried Anne DeMarco. She's a little more expensive but absolutely worth every penny, imo. I had a few trials before her and also wasn't happy until I went for a trial with her & booked her on the spot. Pictures are in my album if you're interested.
