Makeup/Skin HELP!!

Makeup/Skin HELP!!

Next weekend is my FMIL wedding. She had this great idea that I get my makeup done for her wedding and then I can see if I like the person and possibly want to book them for my wedding.

So, I am really excited to get my makeup done but I have in the last year or two developed really oily skin. I keep it under control with some products from the dermatologist...and dont really wear too much makeup regularly. I dont wear foundation just a little concealer and blush.

I am really worried that since the makeup people usually use foundation etc....that my skin is going to look like a greece pit by the time I arrive at the wedding. What can I do??? Do I ask not to have foundation put on??

Chloegirl, call the m/u artist now & tell them about your concerns. most professional M/u companies have great products for oily skin.

I agree that if you tell the makeup artist your concerns, she'll be able to help!

also, those Clean N Clear sheets that you dab on to absorb the oil work really well.

I would tell the make-up artist about your skin...they usually have products that will work well with your skin type. But also I would bring along some blotting papers to take care of it throughout the night.

Thanks for the advice! I do have the blotting papers ... the Clinique ones are great!!

I am going to tell the girl about my skin...do you think I can ask for no foundation? Or is that silly...I am just nervous about trying new things.

Thanks again!

Re: Makeup/Skin HELP!!

Do what you ae most comfortable with. My amkeup artist asked me how I normally wear my makeup..for example..If I wsa normally natural, then she would give me a natrural look, if I wnated more glamorous, then she would enhance that. I would call the makeup artsist and tel her yyour concerns...she will work with you!!! Its a trial..so maybe she couls do foundation, an dthen do no foundation.

I too have oily skin and I use kiehl's. They have an oatmeal facewash(I use the mild one) and a tea tree toner that does the trick.
