Makin' moves.....
Yay, I'm so excited!!! We booked our church and reception site this past weekend!!Whoohoooo! Well actually, FH's parents booked it, since we both dont live in LI.
Anddd.....I booked Denise Venti for hair today!! I didnt have a trial w/her, but I love her work and I didnt want risk having her get booked w/someone else, so she went ahead and reserved the date for me. I was so bummed out that Tarale was booked for my date, and i was starting to think that i was going to be a fugly bride, but when she emailed me back and told me she was available, I literally screamed!! Granted, she is a bit more expensive than what I wanted to spend, but heck, this is a once in a lifetime event and I want to look as beautiful as I can possibly be!!! And she's sooooo darn sweet!
As for makeup, I really wanted JN, but she was booked for my date too. So, I emailed Oksana, but she hasnt responded back to me yet.![]()
So I need yall's opinion on something. For the ceremony I'll be wearing the traditional white wedding gown, but for the reception, I'll be changing into a traditional red/wine colored wedding sari. I wanted my makeup person to touch up my makeup and make it a bit more glamourous for the reception. I'm wondering if I could still get JN to come to the hotel before my reception and touch up my makeup, OR should I have the same makeup person? I'm not even sure if JN would be willing to do it, but I figure its worth asking.
O yes and one more thing. The last time i was in LI, FH and I visited two photographers: Duet and Patken. I thought Duet was great for the price and package that they offered. I've checked out other photographers/videographers online, but I think Duet offers the best bang for your buck. I really want to book them, but FH is insisting that we check out other photographers. He really thinks that there are other photographers/videographers that can offer the same package/quality, for cheaper. (Someone please tell me if there is one out there.) The earliest we will be able to make it out to LI is probably January, and I'm scared that Duet will be booked by then :( Sorry, not really asking for advice here, but just wanted to sort of vent.
