Making a chupah

Making a chupah

Hi. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about making a chupah. We are having an interfaith wedding and wanted to incorporate a chupah. We are going to make it at my shower. Everone is going to create a square and they will be sewn together like a quilt. I also hope to include some important pics of my grandparents and other loved ones. My question is how do you attach the quilt part to the poles and do you have people hold the poles or are they in stands. If they are in stands where do I get them or how do I make them? Thanks a bunch.

You can sew ribbons on the corners of the quilt to tie onto the poles.

I've heard of people who asked close friends or family members to hold the poles, but keep in mind that they will be standing up the whole time.

I guess you can make stands, but maybe it would be easier to try to find flagpole stands. I was thinking the ones like they used to use at assembly when you were in school.
