Making a weekend of it...
we decided to pick columbus day wknd for our wedding in 2009 but have wedding on the sunday of the wknd.
We want our guests to arrive saturday and spend the day and night and night of the wedding with us. excluding the usual rehearsal dinner and food related activities we've set up sporty activities for the day before the wedding at the hotel such as tennis and the pool and night of the wedding we're conintuing the party afterhours at the hotel pub. we've ven gone as far as to let guests know of local golf courses for the day before the wedding (we put all of this on our wedding website early and got it out to family and friends).
