Making a WISHING WELL?

Can I have some of your creative ideas for making a wishing well out of useful things instead of renting one??

Thanks!

Re: Making a WISHING WELL?

i made one using a thrash can - four wodden sppons and two cookie trays

I tapedtwo spoons together for each side
Then i taped the two cookie trays togeter in a tent shape

Then i taped the spoons on the side of the garbage container and the cookie timns to the spoons

then i covered with wrapping paper and bows

i also used a large plastic measuring container for the bucket - tied on from one side with ribbon

the one my BM's made for me is so cuute i have just had it in my room i dont want to take it apart. It is a laundry hamper the lid to the hamper is the top of the well, and they held it up with 2 paper towel rolls that they wrappd in white paper. Then they covered the whole thing in tulle and flowers here is a pic:

Re: Making a WISHING WELL?

I make them out of a laundry basket, a mop and a broom, and then for the skirt I use kitchen towels, and drape them over the basket, and tuck them in underneath. Then for the top, I just use cardboard, and wrap the cardboard in matching wrapping paper to the rest of the shower, and use crepe paper to cover the mop and broom handles.

I went to a shower were they made one using one of those large outdoor garbage cans, a mop, and a broom. They covered it in white plastic (like a table cloth) and decorated it. It looked great and it is very functional. I had never seen that and thought it was a great idea

A real nice one I saw used a white wicker laundry hamper and it was decorated with tulle and flowers. It was very pretty.

Re: Making a WISHING WELL?

Some friends made one for our friends shower. We bought a wicker hamper at BBandB that had a cover. So the hamper was the well and the lid to the hamper was the roof. One pole was a mop and the other a broom. We attached the poles to the hamper with thin wire and the same for attaching the roof to the poles. We covered the wire with ribbons and decoarated it with tulle. We had small paper bells (the accordian style ones that come flat) hanging around the roof. It was a pain to make but came out really cute.
