For brides who have made or are making their own favors could you please tell me what you made, if you would do it again or purchase them and how much money you ended up saving? I wanted to do an edible favor, but they are soooo expensive to have made! TIA!

Re: Making favors?
I ordered favor tins from Favor-Online.net, filled them with pastel mints from MetroCandy.com, and did my own label with DH and my names, date, and a Clip Art graphic of the US Capitol (we live in DC and it's my hometown) with labels from Office Depot. The Clip Art was free from the Microsoft Web site.
The cost was $0.75-$0.80 per favor. The lowest price I found for personalized favors where the company does it for you was $2.50 plus tax. GL.

Re: Making favors?
I made jordan almond flowes which I am using to top off a box filled with lindt chocolate truffles. I have seen the almond flowers on ebay and other sites for between $3.50 and $5 I think they ended up costing me under a dollar each to make.

Re: Making favors?
My invitation has a pretty pink Rose on it so I decided to make pink rose lollipops for favors!! I was told I could do these 2-3 weeks before so that shouldn't be too bad. I bought the molds, candy, squeeze bottles, sticks, bags from ACMoore/Michaels - - all with coupons and it should be about $30 to do about 80 lollys. but my practice runs take a good 40 minutes for 1 mold of 4 lollipops because of the blasted teeny green leaves at the base of the rose. If I can speed that up the DIY will be fine and I'll be happy. A one color mold like doing a 'white chocolate' wedding cake or bell might be fairly easy. Using real chocolate - - I'm not sure as to melting that if it's harder than the colored candies, Those you just pop in microwave for a minute or 2. You might want to give this a thought. Despite those teeny green leaves, I'm having fun with it.
