Making own invitations

I've decided to do my own invitations and i tried to print them today on the vellum paper but every time my printer takes the vellum it comes out printed sideways or some kind of funky way.

I don't know how to fix this....it's driving me nuts!!

Is the paper not feeding correctly?

I printed on velum before on an HP printer w/o much problem. In my printer settings I set the paper size to match as close as possible and also the paper type to 'transparency'. I also only put 5-10 sheets in at a time. It took longer but it prevented bad feeds/misprints.
