Making payments

Ok girlies .... FH and I are going to start making regular payments to our vendors this month and we were wondering how you do it? Do you just send your Rh a check or go in person? Do they send you an updates invoice? so confused

Re: Making payments

I made a spread sheet with check numbers when i sent them out so i could keep track. I usually just mail it and put the contract number or the date on the check. I know i've gotten reciepts from vendors whenever i sent a payment.

my rh always sends out a letter about a month before we have a pymt due. you can probably just mail a check.. i like to go in person though just cause i like seeing my rh lol and its only a few mins from my house anyway.

we've been making payments to our rh on a monthly basis and to our vendors as we agreed on our contract. i usually make the payment in person so i get a chance to look at my rh or speak to my vendor about anything on my mind

Are these regularly scheduled payments or are you just trying to get ahead on your payments? If its the second, you should consider putting it into a savings account until its due so you can make money on your money.

Okay, i was thinking about doing the RH in person too .. we dont have set monthly payments, we are supposed to pay the bulk of it like two weeks before the wedding with the remainder as cash or certified check the day of, so we wanted to lower that amount as much as possible.

thanks!

its the second and we were thinking about that too but honestly the interest rate is so low that it wouldnt make much difference so we just wanted to bring the payments down

We always went in person. We felt more comfortable that way. We got receipts not new invoices. When you go home, just staple it to your contract.

I went in person for the second payment. For our third payment, I mailed the check but starting to worry a bit since I haven't seen it withdrawn yet and it's past our due date. So I definitely recommend in person so you don't have to worry! Plus it gives you a chance to visit your RH again to see what it looks like in different seasons!

Re: Making payments

My hall sent a reminder letter a few weeks before the due dates but we sent more payments in between those because we wanted to be ahead of the game. We paid our minimum early because we KNEW we'd be over. We have to guarantee 200 and being that our invite list is at 290...i didnt want to have to owe so much at the last minute.
