Making your own wedding albums

I was told that if you have your photographer just do ---- your pictures on a dvd disk which could save you alot of money if you make your own albums

is this really cost effective??

Yes,,, if you can get the rights to your photos (which some photographers do give you but not all of them) definitely print your own albums. It will be much cheaper as each parent album is like $200+. We wanted to save money on this but FMIL INSISTED she have one from the photographer. I am going to make my parents and my aunts their own albums when we get the cd back with all the pics.I am also going to make my own album (like coffee table book) so real one doesn't get ruined.

I am booked with Duet. They are great and throw in so much stuff. They give you all pics on cd (800-1000 pics) and you can reprint them. They also do not block their video dvd's as I was told so we can copy that as well. I am taking my epics with them 10/20 and can't wait to see how they come out. If you haven't already make an appt with them. I have heard from some other brides on here that some companies don't give you rights to your photos until 5 yrs later and charge a lot for copies. Before booking, make sure you get what u want... I will also fm u info on them.....

I made my own album through mpix.com I saved myself so much money. I got a 50 page coffee table book and the quality is amazing, I only spend less then $70. Focus on getting a great photographer and then worry later about your albums.

Does mpix.com have the carbboard pages? If not, do you know of any site that does have them?
