Shocked at the costs of veils in all the shops $200-400 I went to the Fashion District in the city and bought 3 yards of tulle - head to the toe length for $1.50 a Yard+$4.50 total - you can buy beads and string them to the bottom of your veil or even sew on white ribbon as the edge, thead the veil to combs or tiara with clear or White thread and there is your veil!!

My friend made my veil for me- she even make me a beautiful swarovski crystal and freshwater pearl comb. Just be careful that the tulle you bought matches your dress, mine didn't and the entre thing had to be redone and it cost an additional $200.

The Tulle is pure white which matches my dress, but again the tulle was only $1.50 a yard. you can also buy beading, crystals etc for cheap too.

My mom is making mine. We weren't sure at first if it was going to work but I'm thrilled with what she did. Jessica, my mom also posts on LIWeddings..LIMOM, and I'm sure she'd be more than happy to answer any questions if you need help along the way. Feel free to FM either one of us!

Hi Jessica. My daughter took my words out of my mouth!
Although it is easy, there are different way to make them. You may want to experiment first to see the fullness and the shape you want. It took me two attempts to get it perfect.
How many layers are you having? What is the width of your fabric? How are you shaping the bottom? Did you buy your comb yet?
