Re: maldives???

The W hotel is unbelieveable and so is the Sheridan (do not judge - its cool)

The W is on a seperate island so it is harder to get to and you need to take a boat plane thing to get there and it only flys during the day. The rooms are OOC they have rooms with private beaches, private ocean, and your own private chef .

The Sheridan is on the main island and no little boat plane required. Most flights lay over in Dubai which is why we plan on going to stay there for a few nights. Huts on the water,.

FH and I love starwood hotels and both have points so we are most likely going to stay at one of those hotels or both maybe to change it up. I think there is a hilton there too. I havent fully started investigating b/c we are waiting until Feb to go away and not leaving directly after the wedding.

maldives is gorgeous.. but very little activity to do.. its also extremely expensive and a long plane ride.. If you have a lot of days off i suggest goin their and then fly to DUbais.. Cause at least in Dubais its very touristy and their are things to do their.. You might get bored if you just do Maldives for like 10 days. just MO.. :)

I was just looking into this destination yesterday and when I started searching for flights and the cheapest flight available was $1800 a person and it took over 24 hours to get there I knew FH would say absolutely not

RAK--have you booked your trip yet?

Didn't book yet. Will probably book in April-May. With the time difference it looks like 24 hrs, but its only 14 (which is still insane).

Also GlenIsland09 is going to Maldives and Dubai for her HM. When she gets back she said she'd give me the deets!
