This is what I think of a certain person who's identity I will never know. Some lunatic signed on under my screeen name from somewhere in the great USA and sent out a mass email to hundreds of people. They sent them info for a porn website on my screename!! My account was revoked and fixed but now I need a new screen name!! I hate low life scum!!! Thank god for Karma!!

OMG That's terrible!!
That's why I keep a very updated security and anti-virus program running on my computer with a firewall which protects my identity online.
You would be surprised how many times this program warns me that a certain website is trying to get my SS# or phone number, or address from my computer. !!!! Even LIW (phone number). I always block the transmission, but it freaks me out to think of what 'leaked out' before I got the security software!!

Now it was not anyone on LIW. Just some schmuck with no life, no personality, and a need to rack up some really bad karmic debt. My husband also has a system to protect us. It was installed by a friend who puts in all kinds of firewalls and virus protection for a living. But I got screwed anyway!!

Well you never now, but most of my friends and DH friends are in law enforcement and the rest simply dont have the time, or the knowledge to be able to do something like it. but you know the old saying.... 'You think you know somebody...' In any event I certainly hope not.

Thanks for letting me vent ladies!! I appreciate the sympathy, but after reading some of these posts about what's happening in everyone elses life, I'm grateful this is alll I'm dealing with at the moment!!

That is what happened to us!! It was through AOL. And I was so ****ed! But, they didnt do bulk email to anyone we knew.
