i have a maltese and all of a sudden he turned a year and he got the tear stains it makes me so upset he had never had them and hes so adorable bothers me soo much !! what can i do about this it drives me crazy!??

Go to the pet store, they have eye wipes specifically for this, if you clean the area each day, it should be fine, you can also use the shampoo for white dogs....but the eye wipes will do the trick!

thank you i have tried that it really does not work very well but then i went and the people at the pet shop told me to try Witch Hazel and it comes off a lil but not all of it ...hate it !!

I have a shih-tzu and he has the same problem. I have been using this shampoo called Awapuhi white from TropiClean and it has been working wonders. It will also whiten and brighten your fur babies coat all over! It's soap free also.

I know this sounds crazy but i have an American Bulldog that had this problem- i put A & D ointment around his eyes and they hardly tear and all the staining went away- Cant hurt to try it-
