I'm sorry if anyone had a great experience but I just finished a full day pre-cana and it was BRUTAL! Wow complete torture! But I'm done so checkity check check

Really? I have my first one tomorrow. It's an hour for the FOCCUS test and then an hour precana. Then we have it four weeks for 2 hours at someone's house.

What did you do? Sorry you didn't like\ it. I am really looking forward to ours. I hope it's not bad haha

Sorry you had such a bad experience. I really think it matters the type of people who run the program at each church. I can't say enough about the pre-cana program at St. Thomas the Apostle.

The couple who runs the pre-cana program were awesome. The program had its serious moments, but we also had fun. I have to admit.....I had a blast at ours...I never thought I would laugh sooo much. Even FH was amazed at how much he enjoyed it. He thought he would hate it.

ETA: Ours was for one day...8:45 - 3:45. So you know in order to keep our attention they had to make it interesting.

ours was basically a lecture. fh and i sat in the back of the room like we were in school....i doodled in my precana book....dont feel so bad. i'm soooo glad it's over!!!!!

reallllllly??????? FH and I enjoyed ours!!! like alot actually. Maybe it was because we broke it down into 4 sessions. It was only like 2 hours long or an hour and a half...dont remember.
i dont think i could do a full day in one sitting...haha

It was really the people who ran it; very much a lecture! We actually did started one in another church but scheduling got in the way and that was more fun. My back was killing me from sitting all day. It was only one day and I am done.

A lot of ppl in the course had the same complaints and when they offered suggestions at the end it was the same thing....too much lecture not enough class participation.

Its over! I do wish we had a better experience though...
